Skilled Migrant Category (SMC) visa changes

“The last date on which a selection of Expressions of Interest (EOIs) will occur from the current Skilled Migrant Category (SMC) pool is 19 July 2017. A revised SMC policy will be implemented on 28 August 2017. Advice will be provided in due course regarding the first selection from the SMC pool after this date. Expressions of Interest that are selected from the SMC pool before the introduction of the revised policy and result in an invitation to apply for residence, will be assessed against the SMC criteria in place prior to the revised SMC policy.”
